The Cure postpones the Fall Tour

U.K. pop-rock-emo-before-their-was-emo band The Cure has postponed their fall tour. The reason for this is they want to help Axl Rose with Chinese Democracy before it gets too late in the recording process. Actually, it is a similar excuse to the one Mr. Rose has cited before. The Cure said the rigorous fall tour gave them only a couple of weeks to complete a new double album. The tour will be postponed until the Spring.

In a press release the band said, "We also want to create a new live show for North America, and incorporate new songs and we need time and focus to do this. So although we can agree it is a great shame to move these dates we honestly feel that in the bigger picture we are making the right decision."

Fans holding tickets to the postponed shows should hold on to them. They will be honored at the spring shows. You can get a refund at the point of purchase should you desire one.
