Eddie Vedder upset about being censored
Do you know that part of Pearl Jam's "Daughter" where it slows down and segues into Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" for a moment? That would be the part when Eddie sings "George Bush, leave this world alone" and "George Bush, find yourself another home." Well, apparently somebody in the AT&T content monitoring department didn't, and struck it out of a recent exclusive live performance on their "Blue Room" website.
From Pearl Jam's website:
"AT&T's actions strike at the heart of the public's concerns over the power that corporations have when it comes to determining what the public sees and hears through communications media. What happened to us this weekend was a wake up call, and it's about something much bigger than the censorship of a rock band."

This brings up the issue of Net Neutrality and whether or not AT&T had the right to censor this clip. There are two sides to the argument. On one side, they were sponsoring and event. The performance was being shown on their website and the way that it was presented was up to them, as long as it didn't go against any contracts with the band.
On the other side, isn't it AT&T's responsibility to remain neutral for the integrity of the performance and their site?
There is also the outside possibility that it was truly an overzealous content monitor who assumed that anything that Eddie Vedder had to say about George Bush was likely to be "risky". We here at Bn'R are not educated enough on the matter of net neutrality to form a final opinion yet, so decide for yourself.

I have a pretty informed opinion about this subject. AT&T didn't do enough censoring. Eddie Vedder has a mullet and that should have been censored.
WHY AT&T?! WHY DIDN'T YOU PROTECT US!
