Van Halen tour back on
The on again, off again Van Halen tour is back on. According to Billboard.com, next week Van Halen will announce a 50-date American arena tour. The tour will kick off in early October and be the first tour in 20 years will original lead singer 'Diamond' David Lee Roth. The only other change in the line up is Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, will replace Michael Anthony on bass.
In recent months, many arenas were placed on hold for the potential Van Halen tour. That hold seems to be paying off. If you are planning on seeing this tour, you want to see the first four dates. Any date after that has a 70% chance of cancellation due to band in-fighting.
Eddie entered rehab earlier in the year and emerged looking less like the cryptkeeper and more like a human being. His last tour with the band was in 2004 when Sammy Hagar went out with them. The tour grossed nearly $40 million dollars. That tour played mostly stadiums with relatively low ticket prices. This tour is supposed to be arenas and higher ticket prices. Time will tell folks.

I am in the heart of Mexico right now, about to go to Sammy Hagar´s famous Cabo Wabo bar. If I get a chance to ask Mr. Hagar about the chances of this tour lasting, I will. My guess, and official prediction is no dice on a tour, but if it goes, I´m there. By the way, Fuck Mexico
