My Chemical Romance's lead singer Gerard Way has taken up a side project. Do not fear loyal MCR fans, he is not leaving the band, he is writing comic books for Dark Horse comics.

The new series will be called "Umbrella Academy" and it will be about Sir Reginald Hargreeves. Sir Reginald is a "world-renowned scientist and inventor, intrepid adventurer, successful entrepreneur, champion cricketer, and closet space-alien." The comic will also deal with his seven 'super-human kids. The kids need to "learn to get past their spectacularly dysfunctional childhoods" in order to save the world.

If the comic is as well received as the band was at Download in England, then the comic will sell like hotcakes! Watch the video below to see how MCR were received at Download, in case you didn't know.
