Why Did Kurt Cobain kill himself? An In depth Study

Kurt Cobain and his melancholy men of madness set out to play music and avoid the mainstream. However, when the band recorded Nevermind, that all changed. With heavy airplay on MTV it hurled the trio into the spotlight. It forced record companies to manufacture other bands that sounded the same (I am looking at you Collective Soul) and pump out similar videos (Now my sights are set on Pearl Jam)

Due to drug addiction and the overexposure of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain felt it was easier to "burn out rather than fade away." This was a lyric from Neil Young's My My Hey Hey (Out of the Blue) that Kurt borrowed for his suicide note.

Now comes the news that Nirvana tracks are being licensed for EA's Rock Band video game. The game allows you to play guitar, bass, drums, and sing all while on your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 console. The entire Nevermind album has been confirmed as one of the albums you can download after the game is released. The Who have also licensed Who's Next as a downloadable album.

The game will cost $200.00. That may seem like a lot to those without jobs, but to me it is an absolute steal. For that relatively low cost, you get a drum kit, guitar (which doubles as the bass and the guitar), and a microphone. A stand alone guitar can be purchased for $79.99, just for a comparison.

EA has also stated that if you are able to complete the game on the Hard difficulty with the drum kit, you will actually be able to play the drums in real life. This is yet to be seen, however, I have never played the drums before and I have oodles of spare time. But rather than pay a drum instructor, I will learn using my Xbox 360. Then I will proceed to laugh at all you career drummers, because I learned from a video game. But only after I do my Yoga on the Wii.
