Mondo Generator drops it like it's hot

Mondo Generator's Dead Planet
Mondo Generator has dropped out of the Ozzfest tour. Nick Oliveri (ex-Queens of the Stone Age) said the band is forced to leave the tour "due to matters beyond the band's control." Nick added:

"It's very disappointing but Mondo Generator has been forced to cancel the remaining dates we have booked with Ozzfest and Circus Diablo. We tried everything in our power to make things work so that we could remain on tour, unfortunately due to matters out of my control, it is impossible for us to continue touring at this time."

I think true fans can only hope that the "matters beyond the band's control" is he is disbanding Mondo Generator and rejoining Josh Homme for a new Queens of the Stone Age album. Though that is only a pipe dream.

Mondo Generator's new album Dead Planet was not very well received. I believe the album only sold 400 albums in the first week. My guess is that funding for the band has forced them to drop off the tour.
