On Sunday July 8 Kirk Hammett, guitarist extraordinaire, described the new sound as being somewhere between ‘……And Justice for All’ and the black album. On July 12 (by my calculation that is 4 days later) in an interview with SVT in Sweden James Hetfield revealed that they were concentrating on the "hunger" around ‘Master of Puppets'. Later this week, perhaps around July 16 we are expecting word from drummer Lars Ulrich that the new album will be a cross between ‘Ride the Lightning’ and the ‘Load’ era Metallica albums.
