Thank Ahmet Ertegun for dying
Because of the recent death of Ahmet Ertegun (Atlantic Records founder), who died in December 2006 after seven weeks in a coma following a fall at a Rolling Stones concert, the mighty Led Zeppelin will be reuniting. That is right Led Zeppelin is reuniting. The original members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones will be joined by John Bonham's son for a special concert in memory of Ertegun. The concert will take place in London. A source close to the matter reveals:
"Page, Plant, and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert. They are waiting for a definite date. And no one can quite believe it, but during discussions about the concert they all gave the green light to a tour if it all goes well and they don't all fall out. It has been hoped for and denied for years. But this is the closest they have ever come to a reunion tour. The feeling is that this is going to happen next year."
They are one of the few bands that could potentially out-gross the Rolling Stones in concert revenue for one year. Let's hope they can get along. source

What a tasteless headline. Mr. Ertegun was the last of the moguls who was actually interested in music. The business will be a worse place without him. It's hardly an event for celebration.

Every thing in life is a reason to celebrate. Whether it is a death, a life, or even a raping. The cycle of death and rebirth should be exhalted, not condemned.
Tasteless, yes. But that doesn't make it any less true. Through the passing of 'Mr. Ertegun,' Led Zeppelin will reunite. Thus proving, out of death, there is life. It is a simple Daoist principle.
