The most underrated band ever is touring
I love the New York Dolls and their genius is completely lost. They truly are the most underrated band to emerge from the 70's punk scene. There are only two surviving members and they are touring under the New York Dolls moniker. David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, who replaced original guitarist Johnny Thunders.Johnny Thunders was more punk than any of the Sex Pistols or the Ramones, combined and he had bigger chunks of corn in his stool than Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. I am glad Thunders died before he had to see this mockery we call 'punk rock.' I am also glad he died before seeing the travesty that was the late 80's glam metal scene.
Anyway, they are touring behind the release of their awesome album "One Day It Will Please Us to Even Remember This," which contains the catchy number "Dance Like a Monkey." For those of you non-English majors out there, which is 3/4 of BnR. The title of the album is from Virgil's Aeneid.

Check out the Dolls in their prime with Johnny Thunders.

Actually Mr. Thunders checked out in '91, so he lived to see the travesty known as grunge, but I'm sure he didn't notice grunge or glam metal as he was too junked up to remember the '70s.
