Pete Doherty was arrested on...drug charges. He was arrested on the suspicion of possessing illegal drugs. Doherty is the frontman of the Babyshambles and formerly the co-leader of The Libertines, but I like to call him the greatest con man in music.

The man has somehow convinced the world that he is relevant to the music industry. All he is really known for is his fantastic drug habit, which has legendary status, and banging Kate Moss, who looks awful without her makeup.

I remember a story Rolling Stone did about him where the reporter had to go through so many checkpoints just to get an interview with Pete in a dumpy hotel room. (Rolling Stone article) They hailed him as "Rock's last wildman." They did not call him "Rock's last bastion of creativity" I just don't get the appeal of a guy who can't produce memorable lyrics. If he dies of a drug overdose will he be remembered as a consulate musician or a druggie who tapped Kate Moss?
