Three Years Later
Three years after the death of Dimebag Darrell Abbott, guitar hero and role model for America's youth, an all-star tribute will be held in his honor. The show will be held on May 17th at the Hollywood House of Blues. The tribute band to be called the Black Tooth Band will include rock super-stars David Draiman of Disturbed, Chester Bennington (as i am typing there is a commercial on the tv for the new LP cd, shameful), Aaron Lewis of Staind (cuz what else is there to do at this point but die), Scott Ian, Dave Navarro, and SLAYER'S!!!! Kerry King. These fine gentlemen will be joined by D-Bag's bro Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Damageplan, Hell Yeah....all around bad ass). Dime's post humous tribute will benefit a non-profit music education program for youngsters that attend public school's. Don't these guys know theres no money in non-profits? Several autographed guitars will also be auctioned off, but your best bet for rock memorabilia would be to bid on ebay for a drumhead signed by Metallica (aka Chuck Schmekalexin, the guy that came into a gross of drumheads and just happens to own a permanent marker). None the less, cheers to the 800th Dimebag Tribute!
