According to Newsday.com, Velvet Revolver and Alice in Chains are going to have at least one concert together this summer. It will take place on August 18 in Jones Beach New York. Could this be the first date of a long U.S. trek for the two?

We don't know just yet as details are severely limited. However, here is something fueling the fire, both bands are due to release albums this year. Velvet Revolver is due to release Libertad on July 3. Alice in Chains are currently writing songs for its first studio album in over 12 years.

What a tour this would be! VR and AiC together on one bill. I am as giddy as a certain someone the first time she tasted black penis.

Two dates have been released for this show. Aug 17 in Homdel, NJ @ PNC Bank Arts Center has been added. It appears that this tour is shaping up to be a reality.
