Today's American music mostly blows...I love Flamenco
On the American Top 40 charts we have rap/hip hop/frat rock and Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon. Most of the albums on the charts are utter crap. You will find the likes of 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Nickelback, and Daughtry. All supposed ROCKERS! However no one from any of those bands can carry the equipment to Mexico City's duo of Rodrigo y Gabriela.
The two met while playing in a thrash metal band called Tierra Acida, but they grew frustrated with the limited scope of the Mexican music scene and went to Dublin. They are influenced by the greats, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and even Overkill. They have two fantastic covers of Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven and Metallica's Orion.
Here is them playing Diablo Rojo live.
