Scott Stapp settles a lawsuit for the greater good of our country

Scott StappLet's jump in our DeLorean and head back to the year 1999. Human Clay by Creed was released and the single Higher was slopping up the charts. The media and people from high school were heavily promoting this band as the second coming of Christ.

Also in 1999 Bob Richie aka Kid Rock was playing on the Family Values tour behind Devil Without A Cause and the third single Bawitdaba.

In this year the lead singer of Creed, we shall call him the Scott Vedder, and Kid Rock met aboard a tour bus and engaged in a sexual escapade swapping loads with four groupies, themselves, and Mr. Hepatitis C. The greatest part about this was it was filmed for your edification. On film Scott declares "I am the king baby." Probably the worst declaration unless you are Mick Jagger, but even Mick Jagger isn't as pompous to think he is a damn king.

Fast forward to 2007, Scott Vedder has settled his invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against adult film company World Wide Red Light District, who thought the world wanted to see this.

Scott Vedder's attorney, William Sayegh, refused to disclose just how much money Scott Vedder would be receiving. Mr. Sayegh only said that the litigation was resolved "in Scott Stapp's favor."

Scott was seeking damages to compensate for the loss of reputation, embarrassment, pain and suffering, and emotional distress he incurred when the footage made the Internet rounds. His career and subsequent breakdown should have raped him from any reputation he had. The only thing left would be the realization to the world he actually has a weeping vagina after moonlighting as a man for all those years.

I leave you with this quote from Nick Oliveri (Queens of the Stone Age and Mondo Generator bassist). Oliveri stated his dislike for Creed after a show in 2003.

"I can't stand Creed, I want the guy to die. That's about the extent of it. I don't want the band to just break up I want there to be a death, and I want it to be the singer. He can give me his cocaine habit and all his money and it'll be fine. I can't stand it. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I hate it, and it pisses me off, and I have a hard time sleeping and now that I'm thinking about it, I'll have hard time sleeping tonight with Josh's [Homme lead singer of Queens of the Stone Age] ass in my face. And another thing, I hate Creed, and another thing, I hate that singer, I don't even know his name (Josh says Scott Stapp), Oh fuck see, see what I mean, just his name leaves a bad taste."
