For those of you close minded bastards who equate really fit guys who know how to dance with homosexuality, this message is for you.  Please understand that we here at Blogs N' Roses know how hard it can be to let down your guard.  When you are brought up with certain beliefs, a core system of thoughts and stereotypes, it is hard to let go.  It can be a true shock to your system when you see something that you don't understand.  Luckily, there are public servants like Ricky Martin to take a stand against biggotry and phobia against the gays.

Recently, Mexican pop star Christian Chavez has come out of the closet, and Martin has come to his defense.  Martin is kind of a big deal south of the border, so when he speaks, reverse gringos listen.

"Life is too short to live closed up, guarding what you say," said Martin — whose sexual orientation has been the subject of speculation — in an interview with The Associated Press. Christian "has to be free in many aspects. I wish him much strength."

We are truly gifted to have strong men like Mr. Martin in popular culture to stand up against the injustice caused by blind hatred.  Everybody knows that you shouldn't prejudge a person based on race, creed or sexual orientation.  You should prejudge them based on what their favorite Will Smith movie is.  Mine is Independence Day, but Bad Boys II was a close second.
