Long Live the King
A statue is being erected in Hawaii to commemorate one of Elvis Presley's most famous roles, "Blue Hawaii". According to the Associated Press the statue is being raised in honor of Elvis, due to his philanthropic nature, especially in regards to a 1961 benefit concert to raise money for the USS Arizona Memorial.Wearing his signature flare-legged, big-collared, bejeweled and strategically snug ensemble, the King will reappear in the islands in the form of a life-sized bronze statue marking the site of his historic 1973 concert "Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii."
Well, it sounds like a nice enough statue to me. I guess that it's better than what they proposed in Nashville. There was to be a solid bronze statue of Elvis in a more recent pose. He would be sitting on a toilet with a deep fried peanut butter and prime rib sandwich in one hand, and a bottle of Valium in the other. Long Live the King!!

It was a fried banana sandwitch you ignorant wretch!! you however will choke on the fried prime rib sandwich
