Slayer, Chili Peppers represent Rock at the Grammys

Year after year, the Grammy awards alienate themselves from Rock fans more and more.  We have seen this time and time again, for example when Jethro Tull beat Metallica many years back, or Steely Dan winning best album (come on, Steely fucking Dan!!?!?).

Anyway, this year's rock winners are as follows (Yahoo! Music):

Solo Rock Vocal Performance: "Someday Baby," Bob Dylan.

Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal: "Dani California," Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Hard Rock Performance: "Woman," Wolfmother.

Metal Performance: "Eyes of the Insane," Slayer.

Rock Instrumental Performance: "The Wizard Turns On ... ," the Flaming Lips.

Rock Song: "Dani California," Flea, John Frusciante, Anthony Kiedis and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers);

If it wasn't for Slayer, the entire genre of Rock would be completely castrated this year.  What direction are we going in?  And since when does Wolfmother count as Hard Rock?  Fuck the Grammys!!!

    Its about time the definition of hard rock was softened as to not include crappy pop-metal like Stinkin' Park or their kind. But Wolfmother!?, those guys blow dogs for quarters. One step forward, ten back...
