Richie Sambora wins "Cheesiest Guitar Player Ever" award from Fondue Magazine

In a rare moment outside the shadow of Jon Bon Jovi and Tommy Lee's throbbing member, Richie Sambora humbly accepted the "Cheesiest Guitar Player Ever" award  from Fondue Magazine. Sambora, who's cornball solos, New Jersey birth certificate and obligatory cowboy hat antics have not only ensured his place as Jon BJ's righthand man but also helped him get sloppy seconds from Tommy Lee and Charlie Sheen. The award ceremony, held in Reno, included six-string icons B.B. King and Les Paul. While presenting the guitar shaped tiara to Mr. Sambora, Les Paul stated that "Ritchie really deserves this one, his work on Slippery When Wet almost make me wish I hadn't developed the solid-body electric guitar."

Also honored were Billy Gibbons for "Rattiest Beard" and Phil Anselmo for "Human Ape of the Year."
